Virtually Walking to Honor Carla Crosby McClelland!
A lot has changed in our country in the past year, but some things have stayed the same. There still is no cure for Alzheimer's Disease and my dear friend, Carla Crosby McClelland, is still battling this cruel disease.
Since all walks for Alzheimer's are virtual this year, I was tempted to take the year off from raising money for CC's Striders. The team has raised quite a bit of money over the past seven years, and I honestly didn't feel like I had the energy to set up the team and email everyone. But then I thought of Carla and her family. They are tired too. For over twelve years they have dealt with this disease every day and I'm sure there are many days they don't have energy either!
In the past 7 years, CC's Striders has walked in Austin, Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta, OKC and Baton Rouge. This year, I asked Carla's family which Alzheimer's organization we should support and we decided on Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area in Baton Rouge. They have provided the incredible support to Carla and her family over the years.
Please join us and support them and honor Carla and her family!
